Zoom Clips
Zoom Clips allows Georgetown users to record, edit, and share short-form videos with people both internal and external to Georgetown. View the Zoom Clips User Guide for more information.
Currently, Zoom Clips are limited to five Clips (per user) and each Clip cannot exceed two minutes.
Why use Zoom Clips?
Zoom Clips makes it quick and easy to record short videos of yourself and your content without the need to schedule a Zoom meeting. Where as some of the other recording tools at Georgetown are only available to faculty, Zoom Clips is available to all Georgetown users (students, faculty and staff). Download your Clips to your computer to save them permanently. You can choose to upload them to other media management tools like Panopto, YouTube, Sharestream, and Google Drive.
Manage your Clips Settings
- Manage your Clips account settings: Allow people, who can access your Clips, to download or leave comments and set passcodes to access shared Clips.
Create a Clip
- Adjust Clip settings before starting: Configure Clips to record your screen recording, use your computer’s camera for a self-speaking view, or use both simultaneously.
- Create a Clip from the GU Zoom web portal
- Create a Clip from the Zoom Desktop App (client)
Access, Edit and Share your Clips
- Access your list of Clips. After creating your Clips you can easily access them from the web portal or desktop App (client) and share them with others.
- Edit a Clip: Cut and trim unwanted sections of a Clip and edit basic information like name, description, and tag.
- Share your Clips: Set permissions for who can view your Clips, and generate links that are shareable both within Georgetown and externally.
