UIS maintains a large selection of enterprise teaching and learning tools such as Georgetown’s Learning Management System, Web Conferencing, Lecture Capture and Media Playback tools.
The Educational Technologies (EdTech) group administers and maintains these online academic enterprise-level tools and integrations for use by faculty, staff and students specifically for teaching, learning, and research at Georgetown University.
Our Research Technologies group helps Georgetown’s research community – on both Main and Medical Center campuses – implement strategies and projects in a number of areas including research collaboration, grants and contracts, advanced research computing, research regulatory and compliance administrative systems, and virtual servers.
UIS is also committed to maintaining the continuity of academic instruction in case of weather, illness, or other circumstance that precipitates the need for instruction to be conducted remotely.
