Web Conferencing with Zoom
Zoom is a web conferencing tool that provides a platform to conduct live online conferences, presentations, lectures, meetings and group chats. Use Zoom on your desktop or laptop computer (Windows and Mac), mobile device (iOS and Android), or other conferencing systems such as Polycom (H.323), to connect to anyone internal or external to Georgetown.
All Georgetown faculty, staff and students will receive licensed Zoom Pro accounts. This allows for 300 attendees in all Zoom meeting rooms.
Faculty can use the Zoom Conferencing tool in Canvas to schedule meetings with students and hold online office hours. Students (and faculty too) can use Zoom outside of Canvas to create and host their own meetings.
