Installing Zoom (Windows)

  1. Go to the Zoom software download page.
  2. From the “Download Center” page, click Download (64-bit) under Zoom Workplace for Windows. 
  3. The ZoomInstaller.exe file will download automatically. Go to your Downloads folder in File Explorer.
  4. Double-click the installer file in Windows Explorer to start the installation process. The Zoom Workplace Installer will initialize through completion.

  5. In the following window, click Sign In.
    Click 'Sign In'
  6. In the next window, click Sign In with SSO. 
    Click 'Sign In with SSO'
  7. In the next window, make sure georgetown is entered as the company domain, and then click Continue.

  8. In the next window, enter your NetID and password, and then click Sign in.
    (Note:  In the example below, “jh123” is entered as the NetID.)

  9. You will see the following Duo screen displaying a six-digit verification code:

  10. Tap or swipe the notification banner on your mobile device. (Make sure to have your mobile device with you.)
    Tap on or slide the Duo push notification on your mobile device to open it.
  11. On your mobile device, enter the six-digit verification code, and then tap Verify.

The Zoom main window is displayed, as shown below:

You might see the following screen (Windows Security Alert) overlayed on the Zoom main window. If you see this screen, select the first two options, as shown in the image above, and then click Allow access.

You can now schedule a meeting and invite participants, or start an instant meeting.
