Technology Assistance-Back to School (2024)

Welcome new students, and welcome back all returning students! 

As you arrive on campus and move in to your residence hall, you might find that you need assistance with accessing WiFi, getting your email, or with some other technology-related issue. 

Don’t sweat it—University Information Services (UIS) is here to help. 

Throughout student move-in, as well as during New Student Orientation (NSO), UIS will be on campus to help get you up and running for the school year.

Returning Student Move-in (August 16)

UIS staff will be at the walk-up Service Desk in the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Leavey Center from 9am – 4pm. 

New Student Move-in (August 18)

UIS staff will be at the walk-up Service Desk in the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Leavey Center  from 11am – 4pm.

Returning Student Move-in (August 21)

UIS staff will be on hand at the walk-up Service Desk in the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Leavey Center from 9am – 4pm to answer technology-related questions and assist with GOCard.

New Student Move-in (August 22)

UIS staff will be on hand at Harbin Hall Patio from 8am – 5pm, the UIS walk-up Service Desk in the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Leavey Center from 9am – 4pm.

New Student Move-in (August 23)

UIS staff will be on hand at Harbin Hall Patio from 8am – 5pm, the UIS walk-up Service Desk in the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Leavey Center from 9am – 4pm.

August 24

New Student Orientation (NSO)

UIS staff will be at the UIS walk-up Service Desk in the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Leavey Center from 9am – 6pm. 

55 H Street Northwest (Capitol Campus/GU Law Center)

Capitol Campus staff will also be on hand, providing on-site support from 9am – 5pm at McDonough Hall, Room 152

Returning Student Move-in (August 25)

UIS staff will be on hand at Harbin Hall Patio from 9am – 5pm, the UIS walk-up Service Desk in the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Leavey Center from 9am – 4pm.

If you miss (or can’t attend) any or all of our above on-site help sessions, and need help after you move in, no problem—we’ll still be here to help you. Just contact the Georgetown Service Center by emailing help@georgetown.edu, or visit the UIS walk-up Service Desk during its academic year operating hours.
