How long can I expect a review to take?
A technical review can take a few days, a month, or more. The length of a review will depend on many factors:
- Whether the product or vendor is new to Georgetown University or is currently in use will be a factor. A new product review will most likely require more documentation and scrutiny, and thus will take longer to complete in most cases
- Is this a new purchase or a renewal? Renewals will generally take less time to renew
- Providing documentation and communication with the Approvers/Reviewers is key to an expedient review
- Up-front information upon request submission
- The scope of the request and/or implementation will affect the length of the review. A large rollout, or a product that will be used by a large group at the University, will generally take longer to review than a software or tool that will only be used by a single user or a small group of people, for example.
