GoReact

GoReact is a tool for teaching performance-based skills online. It is an interactive cloud-based platform for feedback, grading, and critiquing of student video assignments. Instructors create the video assignments. Students upload or record their video submissions. Instructors and/or peers then leave time-coded text, video, or audio feedback. Assignments are graded using easily-customized rubrics or points. Reports allow you to track and measure student progress.

Login through Canvas to create a GoReact assignment. You will never need to go to goreact.com to access a Canvas GoReact assignment. Assignment names, due dates, points possible, and the course roster are all managed by Canvas.

Users may need to pay to access this tool.

Support for this tool is provided by GoReact. Georgetown UIS and Canvas help desks will not be able to resolve issues related with this tool.

Gradescope

Gradescope’s primary use is to grade and manage paper-based handwritten assignments and exams. After initial setup and syncing with Canvas, assignments and exams can be scanned and uploaded to Gradescope by the instructor or by individual students. Once uploaded, Gradescope uses handwriting recognition to identify the students’ names and responses, organizing them for grading. Gradescopes dynamic rubric provides flexibility in grading and providing feedback. The final scores can then be synced to Canvas and students can view the feedback.

You will receive a welcome email from Gradescope in your Georgetown inbox upon first setting up or interacting with Gradescope in Canvas.

You should ignore the request to change your Gradescope password in this email.

Musition

Musition Practice and Task Launch is integrated in Canvas and provides instructors the ability to create questions using audio recordings and notation excerpts and then utilize these questions for assessment, worksheets and curriculum mapping. Tasks and assessments created in Musition are linked with a Canvas course, and scores flow back into the Canvas gradebook.

Users may need to pay to access this tool.

This tool is only available in Music department Canvas courses.

Support for this tool is provided by Musition. Georgetown UIS and Canvas help desks will not be able to resolve issues related with this tool.

Respondus LockDown Browser

LockDown Browser is a web browser that locks down the testing environment in Canvas. When students use LockDown Browser they are unable to print, copy, visit other websites, access other applications, or close the quiz or exam until it is submitted for grading. When a Canvas quiz or exam requires LockDown Browser it cannot be accessed by standard browsers.
