Google Assignments: Student Guide

Students use Google Assignments to:

• Create Canvas Collaborations in a course (if applicable). Make sure to select the Google Assignments LTI 1.3 version from the drop down menu, which supports Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drawings, and Sites.
  
• Submit work to Canvas assignments that have been set by the instructor to use Google Drive templates.
• Submit work to Canvas assignments via Google Drive.
• Submit work to Canvas assignments that allow Google Assignments to scan submissions and recommend citations (this can be used up to three times in a course, and it must be enabled by instructor).

Student How-To Guides:

• Start, revise and submit a Google Assignment;
• See an assignment’s rubric, and view rubric feedback (if applicable);
• Run an originality report on your work (if applicable);
• Read an originality report on your work (if applicable);
• See returned assignments;
• Embed Google Drive files using the Canvas Rich Content Editor (RCE)
• Submit a file from Google Drive as an assignment submission to a non-Google Assignment
