Zoom Modifying Its Approach to Upcoming Changes

Dear Members of the Georgetown University Community,

Recently I notified you of upcoming security changes Zoom had mandated to be in place by September 27, 2020. Based on public feedback, Zoom has announced it will not be enforcing these changes. Instead Zoom will make these security features available for us to implement at a time of our choosing. While you currently have the option to create passcodes or waiting rooms and assign alternate hosts for your own Zoom meetings, this will not be required until further notice.
