Receiving a Fax

When your department receives a fax, an email notification will be sent to each person in your department authorized to receive a fax.

NoteIf your department has a secure Box folder (set up by UIS) to receive a fax, and you’re part of your department’s fax Google Group, make sure you can receive email notifications from your Box account. You can do this by performing the following:

  1. Log in to your Box account, and then click on your department’s Box folder that UIS set up for you.
  2. Click on the button that contains three horizontal dots, and then select Settings from the drop-down list.
  3. In the Email and Notifications section, do one of the following:
    • Select the option Use my default notification settings if your Box account-level default setting indicates that you receive email notifications for all uploaded documents.

    • Select Override default settings (and make sure a check mark appears next to Uploads) if your Box account-level default setting indicates that you don’t receive email notifications for uploaded documents.

(Note: To verify your Box account-level setting for notifications, go to All Files, click on your profile at the top right-hand side of your screen, select Account Settings from the drop-down list, click on the Notifications tab, and then confirm that check marks are entered next to Uploads, as shown in the example below.)
