Meeting Recording Options for Zoom AI Companion
Zoom offers a number of options for recording a meeting. The table below lists and compares each recording option.

Transcripts | Provides a text-only word-for-word transcript of your meeting. Meeting Summary | Generates a detailed summary of your meeting discussions. The summary includes discussion topics, main points, and action items; get caught up on meeting content you might have missed; and ask questions related to your meeting. The host can access the meeting summary from the Zoom web client, or via email sent to the host from Zoom. Meeting hosts must inform participants that Zoom AI Companion will be used during this meeting. Zoom AI Companion Meeting Summary differs from a Zoom recording; Meeting Summary will need to be activated and deactivated separately from a recording. | The meeting summary will include discussion topics, main points, and action items. | > Meeting summaries will not contain a full detailed account of the meeting. > Meeting summaries might contain inaccuracies and ambiguous information. Recording | Generates an audio and video recording of your meeting.
