Insert through Top Hero

Multiple images inserted using the Image(s) option in Top Hero will display like this on a live page:

If you choose Image(s) when editing a page, a single image input box appears. These images must come from your computer. After selecting your images:

1. Click Select and select the image from your computer. The image must be less than 512 KB. Click Next.  

2. From here you:

  • Title the image.
  • IMPORTANT: Add a descriptive alternative text for your image (e.g. Image of Healy Hall in the snow). This is required to be compliant with accessibility standards. Alternative text helps people who use screen readers navigate through webpages so it is crucial to have descriptive alternative text for all images. 
  • OPTIONAL: Give the image a caption. 

 

3. Click Save to upload the image.

 

Adding Top Hero Media (Video)

 

Insert through Primary Body

1. Scroll down to the Primary Body and click the "Images" icon.

2. A popup window titled "Image Properties" will appear. Click Browse Server to choose the desired image from your computer.

 

3. Another popup window will appear titled "File Browser". Click Upload to open a drop-down list. Click Choose File, then click Open after you have selected the image from its saved destination. Click Upload again. 

4. The uploaded image will appear in the center of the "File Browser" window. Click on the uploaded image in order to open the Image Properties window.

5. This window will allow you to change the image's dimensions, borders, its vertical/horizontal space, and to add alternative text for the image. IMPORTANT: Make sure to add descriptive alternative text for your image (e.g. Image of Healy Hall on a sunny day). This is required to be compliant with accessibility standards. Alternative text helps people who use screen readers navigate through webpages so it is crucial to have descriptive alternative text for all images.
