Connecting to WiFi

GU’s secure wireless network is SaxaNet. It’s available to all current Georgetown students, faculty and staff and accessible by logging in with your netID and netID password. The first time you connect to SaxaNet, you will be taken to a Web page that will walk you through the process of configuring your computer. More information regarding SaxaNet, including instruction for manual configuration of specific devices, is available on the SaxaNet Secure Wireless Network page.

GuestNet is Georgetown’s network for guests, visitors, and other users without NetIDs. GuestNet is an open network, and is not encrypted. Printing is unavailable, and users attempting to access University services such as GUMail, Blackboard, or GUBox should do so using SaxaNet. More information regarding GuestNet is available on the Georgetown Wireless Services page.
