All courses tied to the Registrar (MyAccess) will automatically appear for faculty with student enrollments in Canvas (please see this page for more information). In addition to such Canvas course sites (used primarily for courses taught at Georgetown and tied to the registrar's schedule of classes), Canvas also offers sites that can be used for needs outside of the University Registrar's system. Such sites have the same functionality as other course sites in Canvas. Georgetown faculty and staff may request such sites in Canvas.
Non-registrar Canvas sites can be requested through the link below for the following purposes:
- A COURSE THAT IS NOT IN THE UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR'S SYSTEM (for sites that serve an academic purpose, but are not in the registrar's system: e.g. an eight-week-long course for incoming freshmen; MASTER course sites, etc.)
- AN ORGANIZATION, EVENT, OR A PROGRAM (for sites that are meant to be for administrative purposes: e.g. History departmental meetings and documents)
- A SANDBOX SITE FOR TESTING AND LEARNING CANVAS (for sites that are for learning and experimenting in Canvas)
