Joining a Zoom Meeting (Mac)

Join the meeting either by:

To join the meeting using the meeting URL: 
  1. Click on the meeting link from your e-mail invitation.  (Note:  If you don't see a "clickable" version of the link, just copy and paste the URL into a browser window.)
  2. If the following message is displayed, click Launch Application (Zoom Software will download and install).
  3. In the "Join Meeting" pop-up window, enter your name. (This name will be displayed to all participants during the meeting. Note:  In the example below, "John Saxa" is the name entered for display during the meeting.) Then, click Join.
  4. After a few moments, you'll be connected to the meeting. 
  5. Click the green Join Audio button to connect your computer's microphone.

To join the meeting using the Meeting ID:
  1. If you already have the Zoom software on your computer you can join a meeting by entering the 9 or 10 digit Meeting ID. Look for and then record the Meeting ID in your invitation e-mail, as shown in the example below.
  2. Launch the Zoom software. In the Zoom main window, click Join a Meeting
  3. In the "Join Meeting" window, enter the Meeting ID. You can also change Your Name if you want a different iteration of your name to be displayed during the meeting. Click Join when you're done.
  4. After a few moments, you'll be connected to the meeting. 

  5. Click the green Join Audio button to connect your computer's microphone.
