Accessing the raw recording files on Mac

Click on the Finder in the dock (or the Hard Drive icon on your desktop).

Click on the Documents folder.

Click on the Echo360 folder.

Click on the Personal Capture folder.

Click on the Recordings folder.

In the Recordings folder there is a folder with a long, random alphanumeric name for each capture which contains a .mov file (Quicktime) of the capture.

To search by date for the recording that you need, click on the Change the item arrangement button and select Date Modified to sort by date.

Access the appropriate date's folder and look for the recording that you need. The .mov file will be in the folder, and may need to play the file to verify its content.

 

Accessing the raw recording files on Windows

Start the Echo360 Personal Capture client on your Windows computer.

Click on the Go to My Recordings button.

Go to Tools (in the top-left menu), then select Options.

Copy the path displayed in the Storage Location: Recordings Folder field (e.g. C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Echo360\Personal Capture\Recordings).

Following the path above, access the C drive on your computer and navigate to the location where your Personal Capture files are saved.

NOTE: If you can't find the AppData directory: In Windows 8, in Desktop view, open FIle Explorer, click on the View tab, and check "Hidden items." In Windows 7, click the Start button, and select Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options; under the View tab, select Advanced settings, click "Show hidden files and folders," and click OK.

Click on the Recordings folder.

In the Recordings folder there are folders with a long, random alphanumeric name for each capture which contains a .wmv file (Windows Media) of the capture. Sort by date to quickly find the recording you are looking for.
