GETTING STARTED WITH WEB DEVELOPMENT: CHECKLIST

	If you do not already have a webspace account, submit this form.
	You must reset your NetID password before requesting your account.
	Review Web development responsibilities and policies at Georgetown University.
	Once you have received confirmation of your account, select and configure a program to transfer your files.
	Upload your site to Georgetown's development server. Your development server is hosted at www7.georgetown.edu.
	Review Georgetown?s style manual and see best practices in Web site organization and design.
	Fully test your Web site. Once you are satisfied, transfer your site to Georgetown?s production server. If you requested a webspace account, you should have received an e-mail from webmaster@georgetown.edu. In the message, locate the URL of the production server (ie, www12.georgetown.edu).
	If this site used to exist on the old server (GUSUN), request that the old address be forwarded. Also, see instructions on how to migrate content from GUSUN to the new Web servers.
