ID Card - Do you have a GOCard? The GOCard is your campus ID card, and provides you with access to many campus buildings. This includes access to your office building, campus libraries, campus facilities (like the gym), campus toll gates or garages, and the campus transportation shuttles. The GOCard Office is located in Darnall Hall. The phone number is 202-687-2700. Normal office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. If you lose your GOCard, you must pay $25 for a replacement. If you have problems accessing parking in a university garage, please see the Office of Transportation Management in the SouthWest Garage level M1.
NetID - Do you know your NetID? You will need your NetID to access most of our computer services. You can find your NetID by going online to the Georgetown Directory and entering your last name. Do you know your NetID password? If not, fax your ID to the UIS Help Desk (fax # 202-687-1162) along with the NetID password reset form.
E-Mail - GUMail is our e-mail service. When you get a GUMail address, your e-mail addres will be YourNetID @ georgetown.edu. You should check your e-mail routing to determine where your email will be delivered; log in to your GUMail account to set up your e-mail routing options. You can set up your e-mail by installing one of our recommended e-mail programs; click here for help on how to set up your GUMail account.
We also offer a Web-based version of the GUMail service called GUWebMail, which does not require any prior setup and enables you to access your GUMail account from any location where an Internet connection is available.
HR Contact - Each office has an HR Contact. The HR Contact can assist you with making changes to your directory listing or your telephone display. Your HR Contact must submit a Voice Service Order to change to your telephone display. You can also check the Georgetown Management System (GMS) to obtain the name of your HR Contact.
Acceptable Use Policy - Georgetown computer users must follow the guidelines set forth by the UIS Information Security Office. Have you completed the Computer Systems Acceptable Use Policy for using computing resources at Georgetown University?
Calendar - GU Calendar offers an enterprise calendar that you can use to share with others or keep private. If your department shares conference rooms or checks out equipment, you will probably need to use GU Calendar to book these resources. You can also sync your GU Calendar with a handheld computer. Computer Hardware and Software - Hoya Computing is a service that offers discounts on the purchase of computer hardware and software. Hoya Computing is located in the basement (Ground floor level) of St Mary's Hall. Make sure that you have an anti-virus program on your work computer. You can install an anti-virus program for free from the UIS Software Database. Having an anti-virus program will protect you from computer viruses and worms. If you need other software for your employment (like word processing, statistical analysis, databases, etc.), speak with your business manager, check the UIS Software Database or contact http://hoyacomputing.georgetown.edu.
File Sharing - GUShare offers a secure way for you to manage and access your files from any computer with an Internet connection. Click here to enable your GUShare account. You can access your GUShare files by going to http://gushare.georgetown.edu.

MyAccess is an online tool that can assist students with registering for classes, looking up grades, and paying your tuition bill.
