Hoyanet Services: Descriptions and Prices

Basic phone service and computer internet access is included with the communications housing fees billed to your university student account. Cable television is available on a subscription bases with RCN.

Service Descriptions

Basic Telephone Service

All residence hall rooms and apartments have one assigned phone line with campus and local telephone service. You can request to activate the phone line, but you will need to provide your own analog telephone set. Your phone number was provided to you along with your Georgetown address and mailbox information. You can also look up your telephone number by checking your Housing-at-a-Glance page. You can request to have the phone line activated by contacting the UIS Customer Service office by calling 202-687-4800 or email your request to UISCustomerServiceHelp@georgetown.edu. Please provide your name, contact information, building and room number, as well as the assigned phone number for your room.

Basic local phone service (including voicemail) includes a single phone line for the entire residence with unlimited calling on campus and to the local Washington, DC, calling area. Additional phone lines are not available. You may use pre-paid or other calling cards for all fee based calling.
