Hoyanet Services: Fall 2009 Service Changes

In order to meet the high demands of today's technology, UIS is please to announce a partnership with RCN to provide a great digital basic digital package with HD and DVR options. Over the summer of 2009, RCN has upgraded the cable infrastructure to provide the best digital picture quality. Fall Semester Service Changes

• Cable Payment. RCN will collect cable chargess in advance on a monthly basis.  You will be able to pay for cable just for the months you need it.
• Cable Hardware.  Each cable subscription will require a digital converter box  which is included with the basic package.  You can upgrade to a full High Definition (HD) box and a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). 
• Moving to another residence. Simply contact RCN to update your account record to move your cable hardware and connect to the cable jack.
• GU-managed Townhomes. Residents can now subscribe to RCN for cable.
