Tech Tip for Messenger Express Webmail: Leave @georgetown.edu off of GU addresses07 November 2003 Tired of typing long @georgetown.edu addresses when sending messages in Messenger Express webmail? If you are sending messages to other Georgetown people, you only need to type their NetID. GUMail will automatically add the @georgetown.edu when you send the message! In the Compose Message window, type a NetID in the box labeled Add Recipient. Press Enter or click the To button to add the address. Click the Cc or Bcc buttons to add carbon-copy or blind carbon-copy addresses.
The NetID you typed is added to the recipients box. When you click the Send button, Messenger Express will add @georgetown.edu to the end of the NetID.
If you are sending a message to more than one person, you can type multiple NetIDs separated by commas before pressing Enter or clicking To.
All of the NetIDs you typed are added to the recipients box. When you click the Send button, Messenger Express will add @georgetown.edu to the end of each NetID.
