Summer Residents: Technology Service and Support Information

Summer Program and Conference Participants

UIS provides limited services and support for conference and program participants living in residence halls and apartments during the summer.

If you plan to bring a computer and want to connect it to the residential network for Internet access, you should verify that it meets UIS' security configuration requirements.  Conferences or programs that are renting machines should make sure that the vendor provides machines that meet these standards.

Academic Students

UIS provides normal services for students enrolled in credit courses during the summer term who live in residence halls and apartments.  Sign-up procedures and costs do vary.

UIS Student Helpdesk and Service Desk

During the summer, the UIS Student Helpdesk and Service Desk operate on a limited schedule during the week.

• Monday: 9:00 a.m.-7:00.p.m.
• Tuesday-Friday: 9:00 a.m.-5:00.p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: Closed

We will be closed for holidays on Memorial Day (May 25) and Independence Day (July 4).
