Instructions for Printing ParSCORE Reports

The reports most commonly requested are:

Test Information:

Score Distribution Report - analysis of how student scores are distributed; a histogram report option is also available from within this distribution report; also includes highest, lowest, mean and median scores, and standard deviation.

Student Test Report - provides details about an individual student's answers to test items. Can be calculated for one student or entire class. If the detailed report is requested, details about incorrect answers are listed. Asterisks indicate correct answers, incorrect answers are recorded with the student's choice, blanks indicate omitted answers, and multiple marks are recorded as entered.

Class Response Report - provides a printout of students' test responses, sorted by ID number. The first line of the report is the answer key, correct answers are indicated by hyphens, incorrect answers are noted by the student's choice of answer, omitted answers are left blank, and incorrect multiple marks are noted with hyphens.

Item Analysis Report - provides distractor analysis; includes reliability, difficulty or effectiveness of a question. 

Student Information:

Roster Reports - Prints roster of students and test scores. Can select with names or just with secret ID numbers. Can print scores for several exams (from same course), as well as cumulative points. Can be sorted by student ID number, last name, first name, total points, grade, etc.


Printing Score Distribution Reports

  1. From the Reports menu, select Score Distribution Reports.
  2. Select Specific Score and then the desired exam number.
  3. Select the "Score Distribution Percentile" option or the "Histogram" option (you cannot select both at once).
  4. Enter a customized report title if desired.
  5. Click on the Print button.

Printing Student Test Reports:

  1. From the Reports menu, select Student Test Report.
  2. Select the desired test.
  3. To obtain the listing of student responses to test items, select "Standard Test Report." 
  4. Select the appropriate button to print reports for either one student or the entire class.  If you selected a specific student, enter the student's identification number in the box designated.
  5. Determine how you would like the test reports sorted (normally either by student ID or by last name).
  6. Check the Print Answer Keys box if you would like to include the answer key on the report.
  7. Click on the Print button.

Printing Class Response Reports:

  1. From the Reports menu, select Class Response Report.
  2. Select the desired exam and version letter. If there is only one version of the test, select version A.
  3. Check the Print Answer Keys box if you would like to include the answer key on the report.
  4. Click on the Print button.

 Printing Item Analysis Reports:

  1. From the Reports menu, select Item Analysis Report.
  2. Select the desired exam and version letter. If there is only one version of the test, select version A.
  3. Select "Standard" or "Detailed" (Standard is usually enough information and uses less printer paper).
  4. Enter the number of the maximum number of choices per question (if students can choose from answers A-E, then enter the number five).
  5. Click on the Print button.

Printing Roster Reports:

  1. From the Reports menu, select Roster Reports.
  2. Select desired exam from the Category Selections list.
  3. Select how you would like the scores to be sorted from the Sorting order options. Note that you also-have a choice of ascending or descending order.
  4. Specify the number of decimal places desired (none or two).
  5. Enter a customized report title if desired.
  6. If you would like the report to omit student names, check the "Print without student name" box.
  7. If you would like to omit a certain number of spaces in the student ID number, you may select this under "Report Format."  (For example: to create a list of grades displaying only the last 4 decimals of social security numbers, select "student ID" and "ascending" under Sorting Order and then "Print without student name" and "5" under Report Format.)
  8. Click on the Print button.
