HOW TO USE WINDOWS XP: CHANGING A FORGOTTEN PASSWORD

If your Novell NetWare and Windows XP passwords are the same (logging in to Novell will automatically log you in to Windows).

1. Fill out the Password Reset Request form for your Novell network account.
   
   
2. Once your Novell password is reset, go to Windows XP: Logging In for the First Time and follow the directions under I was not in my office when my new Windows XP computer was installed and set up.

If you have Novell on your computer but you only log in to Windows XP

Ask someone with a Computer Administrator account on your computer to log in to the computer. Follow the instructions for Changing a Password.

If you are the sole Computer Administrator on your computer, call your Help Desk.

If you do not have Novell on your computer and you only log in to Windows XP

If you have a Password Reset Disk, place the disk in your floppy disk drive as your computer boots up.

If you do not have a Password Reset Disk, ask someone with a Computer Administrator account to log in to the computer. Follow the instructions for Changing a Password.

If you are the sole Computer Administrator on your computer, call your HelpDesk.
