Open the Backup Utility

You can use the Backup Utility in two modes:

  • As a Wizard to create immediate backups.
  • In Advanced Mode to create and save a script that will simplify the backup process.

To set up weekly backups, use the Backup Utility in Advanced Mode.

 

 

  1. Place your CD, Zip disk, or floppy disk in its disk drive.

  2. Click the Start button, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, then click Backup.

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then Backup.

 

  1. The Backup or Restore Wizard will open. Click Advanced Mode to begin.

Click Advanced Mode in the Backup or Restore Wizard.

 
  1. The Backup Utility window will open. Click the Backup tab.

Click the Backup tab in the Backup Utility.

 

Go to Step 3, Select Files and Folders for Backup.
