How to Use Windows XP: Starting the Computer in Safe Mode

1.  When in windows, Press ALT+F4 key combination.

 

 

2.  A Turn Off Computer window will appear.

3.  Select the Restart button.

4.  Once the computer begins to restart repeatedly tap the F8 key.

5.  A black screen will appear with a few options.

6.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode.

7.  The computer will start in safe mode.
