Click on the apple icon at the top of your screen, then selectSystem Preferences.
Click on the Print & Fax button.
This opens the Printer Browser window.
In the Print Browser window, click on the Printing button.
Click on the plus sign icon to add a printer.
Click on the IP Printer button in the Printer Browser window.
Set the printing options as follows:
SelectInternet Printing Protocol - IPP from the Protocol drop-down list. (Note: If you receive an error message, try again by selecting the option Line Printer Daemon - LPD.)
Type in the IP address in the Address field. The message Valid and complete address will appear if you type in the address correctly.
Type a descriptive name for the printer in the Name field if you want (by default, the IP address will be filled in, but you can change this to any name you want). You can include the printer location, printer model, etc.
Verify that the printer type displayed in the Print Using drop-down list matches the printer you're adding.
Click on the Add button.
Select the appropriate options for your printer.
Click on the Continue button when you're done. The printer is now added to your printer list.
