How to Use FileZilla: Installing FileZilla on Your Computer
Installing FileZilla is a simple, two-part process. First, you will download the FileZilla_2_2_24a_setup.exe file. (Note: The latest file may show a later release number.) Then, you will run the FileZilla_2_2_24a_setup.exe file to install FileZilla on your computer.
-
After you've read through these instructions and are ready to install FileZilla, go to SourceForge.net's FileZilla page. Under "Latest File Releases," click on the green button that says Download next to the package labeled FileZilla (NOT FileZilla Server.)

- You will see a list of files. Click on the file that says FileZilla_2_2_24a_setup.exe.

- Next, you will see a page with a list of mirror sites from which you can download the file. Select any one, and click the word Download.

- You may be asked what to do with the file. If so, choose Save or Save to Disk and click OK. You may be asked where you want to save the file. The desktop is a good place.

- Close any applications that are running on your computer.
- Find the FileZilla_2_2_24a_setup.exe file on your desktop (or wherever you just saved it) and double click on the icon.

- Read the license agreement, then click on the I Agree button.

- Choose the components you want to install, then click Next. (The default selections are appropriate for most users.)

- Choose a destination for where you want the program to be installed on your computer, then click Next.

- Select a folder for where you'd like a shortcut to the program to be located under the Start menu, then click Next.

- Choose the security settings for the program, based on how many people have access to your computer, then click Install.

- When the Installation Complete window message appears, close the window.
- Now you're ready to connect to a host.
