ANTIVIRUS FOR WIN 95B AND 95C
NORTON ANTIVIRUS 7.6 FOR PC: WHAT TO DO IF A VIRUS IS DETECTED
File System Realtime Protection detected the infected file:
Because you had Realtime Protection running, Norton AntiVirus 7.6 has stopped your computer from becoming infected.
- If possible, notify the person who passed the infected file on to you. They are probably unaware that they have an infected file and are spreading it.
- If Norton AntiVirus 7.6 reports that the file was cleaned, it means that the file is safe to use.
- If Norton AntiVirus 7.6 reports that the file was quarantined, it means that that the virus could not be removed from the file. Norton AntiVirus has moved the file to a protected folder so that it cannot be opened or run. See Managing Quarantined Files for further instructions.
