How to Use Ad-Aware SE: Running an Ad-Aware scan

1.  Open Ad-Aware SE.                                                     

                               

 

2.  In the Ad-Aware SE Personal window, click Start.

 

3. The Preparing System Scan window appears.

4.  When asked what type of scan you want, Select Perform a Smart System Scan.  Click Next.

5.  Wait for the scan to complete.

6.  When the Scan Complete window appears, click Next.

 

7. The Scan Results window will appear.

 

8. Right-click on any one of the Results. Scroll to Select All Objects. Checkmarks should appear in all the boxes.

 

9. Checkmarks appear next to them. Click Next.

 

10.  An Ad-Aware SE window will appear asking you if you want to remove the objects.  Click OK.

 

11.  The scan is now complete, and the Adware and spyware have been removed.
