Password No Longer Needed for NEJM Access
Dahlgren Library has purchased a site license for the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). This will allow all users of the NEJM website direct access when using the site from computers on the University campus, in Georgetown University Hospital, and via the off-campus access link for the Journal Finder. Please contact the library’s Information Services Desk (202-687-8874 or medref@georgetown.edu), if you have any questions.
PDA Fair a Hit!
Over 200 people attended the Medical Center PDA Fair on Wednesday, March 17 in Caduceus Lounge, Med-Dent Building. The event—sponsored by the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS), Dahlgren Memorial Library, and the School of Medicine—featured Palm OS hardware and software vendors PalmOne, Sony Electronics, CDWG, InfoPoems, and Elsevier. Students, faculty, and staff had the opportunity to try out the latest Palm OS devices, and learn about PDA medical resources from Georgetown faculty and Dahlgren Library staff. Johnny Lee was the winner of a Clie PEG-TJ37 PDA donated by Sony Electronics. Steve Buda, Jeff Canceko, Heidi Baumert, and Beth Egelhoff each won subscriptions to PDA software by Epocrates.
