KeyBridge: Georgetown's Contract Web Development Service
page 1, page 2, page 3

The Office of Off-Campus Housing needed a database of housing options for students. If the database was accessible only to current students, the job would have been easy. But the database had to also be accessible to local landlords and incoming students who do not have NetIDs. Because the database would store contact information, it needed to be secure, and properties needed to be "queued" for approval to prevent some of the abuses of the previous system. KeyBridge built a new database that meets all of these requirements and allows administrators to view reports on several properties at once, giving them valuable information to better serve students.

Visit the Off Campus Housing website at http://och.georgetown.edu.

SNHS and many other clients use KeySite, KeyBridge's Web-based site editor. KeySite enables users to create new pages using a variety of customized templates; copy, move and delete existing pages; and edit pages using a Microsoft Word-like editor. Responsibility for updating a site can be distributed to several people because no one needs to know HTML! And every KeySite page has a secret button known only to our clients that allows them to visit a page on the Web, click on the button, and immediately update it in KeySite. No ftp, no FrontPage, no hassle. You can learn more about KeySite and the other tools that we've developed at http://keybridge.georgetown.edu/products/index.html.

KeyBridge is delighted to work with clients around campus. It's still amazing to us just how much varied and interesting work is going on in all corners of the University. Please visit our gallery at http://keybridge.georgetown.edu/gallery. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us at keybridge@georgetown.edu or call me at (202) 687-0399.

Mary Pickering is project manager for KeyBridge.
