HOYA COMPUTING: PERSONAL SOFTWARE PURCHASES

If the software you need is not available to you through the UIS Software Database or Georgetown University institutional purchase, you may choose to purchase it on your own. 

Please consult the UIS Software Database for information on the most commonly requested software packages. To order any of these packages at educational discount prices, students, faculty, and staff can visit our online Georgetown Premier CDW-G Store or dial: 1-866-723-3395.

Personal purchases of Microsoft software can be made through Georgetown's Microsoft  Portal.

You can also buy software from the GU Bookstore in the Leavey Center. The bookstore's telephone number is (202) 687-7482.

MSB students should check the MSB Software Page for software packages they may need to purchase.

Before purchasing software, please note that certain new computer systems include a wide variety of software. If software is included with your computer, you do not need to purchase it separately. Students are not covered by Georgetown's Microsoft Campus Agreement.  Students must make sure that they purchase word processing, spread sheet, and presentation software with a new computer.  Please check with your computer's manufacturer to verify which software titles are included in your system.
