HOME » HOYA COMPUTING » PURCHASING COMPUTERS HOYA COMPUTING: INSTITUTIONAL MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONSNote: The purchase of a non-standard computer system may result in the loss of on-site support for that computer, or the institution of fee-based service. If you have a question about what constitutes a "standard system," please contact Leona Gray at (202) 687-4473; fax: (202) 687-1505. Laptops should follow the specifications for a secure configuration. This would include an encrypted hard drive, fingerprint reader, computrace. Desktops should include an encrypted hard drive and we are ordering the keyboard with the smartcard reader. For the Dell laptops we strongly suggest the warranty selection that includes Complete Care. For all Apple computers we strongly suggest Auto-Enroll Applecare.
