Handheld for Personal Use

If you would like to obtain a handheld device for personal use, you can contact your preferred cellular service provider and obtain the best handheld device and corresponding data plan for your needs.

Handheld for Departmental Use

If you would like to obtain a handheld device to use within your department, speak with your Department Technology Representative (DTR) or Technical Support Partner (TSP) to start this process.

Note: If it has been tested and is supported for syncing, UIS will support syncing your handheld to GU applications. UIS will provide best-effort support if your device is not properly functioning. If necessary, UIS may refer you to your DTR or TSP to contact your cellular service provider for device specific troubleshooting.

Handheld for Qatar Use

For users with plans for extentended stay and use of device in Qatar, UIS strongly recommends purchasing  the handheld in Qatar (as opposed to purchasing a device in the US before travel).
