UIS H1N1 Resources - GUShare Basics

GUShare enables you to securely store and access your files and folders on the Internet. Once your Georgetown files and folders are in GUShare, you will be able to access them from home or through a desktop client. Your files will be on servers that are backed up regularly, so you'll always have a copy of your important work available at your fingertips or for collaborating and sharing files with others.  All faculty and staff are eligible for GUShare accounts.

The UIS Help Desk should be your first point of contact for GUShare problems and questions. It is a good idea to activate and use your GUShare account now so that you are familiar with it in case you need to work from home.

Below are the most basic functions in GUShare for you to become familiar with in case you need to securely transfer and share files from remote locations.

Log in from the web:  https://gushare.georgetown.edu/. 

You can use GUShare to: 

• Upload files that you can access from any location
• Download files to your computer at home
