How to Use Hoyamail: Logging Out of Hoyamail Securely

Hoyamail establishes a login session that allows you to go about your work without repeated requests to enter your NetID and password.

However, if you walk away from your computer without properly logging out, someone else can access your personal information and interact with Hoyamail as if they were you.

For directions on how to ensure that you haven't accidentally left a Hoyamail session open, please review these instructions.

Be sure to log out of all your Hoyamail sessions to ensure that your personal information is kept safe and not at risk!

 

1. Verify if have any other open Hoyamail sessions by viewing the information at the bottom of your Hoyamail window.
   
   
   If you're logged into Hoyamail in multiple places, you will see the message The account is open in __ other location at the bottom of your Hoyamail window (as highlighted in the above example).
   
   Note: Your additional Hoyamail sessions might originate from another browser on the computer you're currently using, as well as on another computer.
   
   
2. Click on the Details link to find out all your concurrent login sessions.
   
   
   The Activity Information pop-up window is displayed.
   
   
   As the above example illustrates, Hoyamail sessions are open in 2 additional locations.
   
   
3. To log out of any additional Hoymail sessions (except the session you're currently viewing), click on the Sign out all other sessions button in the Activity Information pop-up window to log out of all your other Hoyamail sessions. Once you've done this, you'll see the following message:
   
   
   
4. To log out of your current session, click on the Sign out link at the top right of your Hoyamail window. You will see a message stating that you've successfully logged out of Hoyamail.
