How to Use Webmail: Interface and Features Overview
Webmail Main Window
Toolbars
Webmail Main Window
When you log in to Webmail, the main window is displayed, as shown below. (Note: A description of each numbered area of the main window immediately follows the screen image.)

Mail |
Accesses your mail folders and displays your messages. |

Contacts |
Displays your Webmail address book. |
|
2 |
Mail Navigation Pane |
Contains My Folders, which enables you to modify folder settings and delete folders. You can also view your current list of folders, navigate to a folder, subscribe to a folder, and set up shared folders. |

Mail Toolbar |
Displays the functions for working with messages and changing how your messages appear. |
|
4 |
Message Listing |
Shows you all your messages. The message listing changes depending on what folder you're currently in. Click a folder link in the Mail toolbar to display the messages for that folder. |
|
5 |
Message Pane Toolbar |
Displays the toolbar functions in the Message Pane when you click on a message in the Message Listing. |
|
6 |
Message Pane |
Displays the message you've currently selected. |
|
7 |
Universal Commands |
Contains Options, Help, and Sign out, which appear on all Webmail pages. |
Toolbars
Mail Navigation Pane

Mail |
Lists all your mail messages, and enables you to open messages. |
|
My Folders |
Displays a list of your folders and subfolders and enables you to edit or delete them.
Below My Folders is your list of your folders. These include your Inbox, Draft, Sent, and Trash folders, as well as any folders you've created. A plus sign will appear next to any folders that contain subfolders. |

Shared Folders |
Share folders with others. |
Mail Window Toolbar
This Mail toolbar appears above your message listing.
Note: The toolbar shown here (for the Inbox) will be the same for each of your GUMail folders.

New |
Create a new message or new mail folder. |
|
Delete |
Move selected messages to your Trash folder, or empty your Trash folder. |
|
Mark |
Mark a message as either read, unread, answered, or unanswered. |
|
Move |
Lists the folders from which you can choose to move selected messages. |
|
Copy |
Lists the folders from which you can choose to copy selected messages. |
|
Search |
Find messages based on pre-defined criteria. |
|
Check Mail |
Get new messages. |
|
Show/Hide Message Pane |
Click either button to show or hide the Message Pane. |
|
Quota |
Appears at the top of the Mail toolbar. The quota bar shows how much space you have available, as well as the percentage of the space you're currently using.
Note: Keep in mind that messages in your Trash and Sent folders count towards your quota. So be sure to empty your Trash folder regularly to ensure that you stay below your quota and that your messages can be delivered in a timely manner. |
Message Pane Toolbar
The Message Pane toolbar buttons are available when you display a message in the Message Pane (the area below your message listing).

Delete |
Deletes the currently displayed message. |
|
Next and Prev buttons |
View messages before or after the current message in your message listing. |
|
Reply |
Send a reply message either to the sender or all recipients of the message. |
|
Forward |
Send a message to another person. You can forward the message either as an attachment or in the body of the message. |
|
Print Preview |
Preview how a message will look when its printed. |
|
Open |
This button appears when you open a message in a new window. |
|
Go To |
Go to a particular message by entering the number of that message. |
Message Window Toolbar
The Message Window toolbar appears when you open a message in a new window. (You can open a message in a new window either by double-clicking the To or Subject fields of a message, or by selecting a message in the Message Pane and then clicking the Open button from the Message Pane toolbar.)

Delete |
Deletes the currently displayed message. |

Next and Prev buttons |
View messages before or after the current message in your message listing. |
|
Reply |
Send a reply message either to the sender or to all recipients of the message. |
|
Forward |
Send a message to another person; you can either forward the message as an attachment [Forward] or inline---Forward Inline---in the body of the message] |

Move |
Lists the folders from which you can choose to move selected messages. |
|
Copy |
Lists the folders from which you can choose to copy selected messages. |
|
Print Preview |
Preview how a message will look when its printed. |
|
Source |
View the full header information of your message. Display the full header of any message you want to report as suspected of being spam. |
Compose Window Toolbar
The Compose window toolbar appears in the Compose window.

Send |
Send your message to all specified recipients. |
|
Save Draft |
Save a copy of your message to your Draft folder. You will be able to continue working on your draft message at any time. |
|
Expand |
Displays the full address of any nickname or contact group entries. |
|
Spelling |
Checks for spelling errors |
|
Insert Signature |
Inserts a copy of your signature in your current message. |
|
HTML Text/Plain Text |
Toggles the composition format between HTML-formatted text and plain text. |
|
Compose Tab |
The area where you compose your message and enter the e-mail addresses of everyone to whom you want to send your message. |
|
Options Tab |
Display options for managing message delivery handling. To set and review General Webmail preferences, click on the Options link in the upper right hand corner of the Webmail page. |
|
Cancel |
Cancels the current operation.
Important: All settings will be lost after you click Cancel. |
Universal Commands
The following commands appear on every page of Webmail:

Options |
Settings for personalizing many aspects of Webmail, such as setting how your mail is displayed, renaming folders, creating filters, creating a signature, and changing how certain actions are performed. |

Help |
Displays Mirapoint's online help documentation. You can view topics, browse the index, or search the index. |
|
Sign Out |
Log out of Webmail. | |
