Using the spellchecker manually

  1. Open a compose window and type your message.

  1. Click on the Spell button at the top of the window.
  1. If Thunderbird finds any words that aren't in its dictionary, it will open a Check Spelling window.

You will have several options:

  • Manually type in a replacement,
  • Ignore the possible misspelling,
  • or Add the word to Thunderbird's dictionary.
