How to use Thunderbird with GUMail: Getting Your Messages

  1. Start Thunderbird.

  1. You'll be asked for your password.

  1. Type your University NetID password.

 

  1. Then click on the OK button. This will open your GUMail Inbox.

  1. Click on a message to open it (unread messages will appear in bold). If you click on a message, it will open in a panel below your inbox. If you double-click on a message, it will open in a new window.

  1. To check for new mail after opening your Inbox, click on the Get Mail button.
