Displaying icons |
- You can choose which icons (buttons) are displayed in Thunderbird. Right-click an empty space on the toolbar.

- Click on the Customize button that pops up.
|

- This will bring up the Customize Toolbar window.
- You can drag icons to and from this window until your toolbar looks the way you want it.

Sorting by columns |
- Choose a folder to sort and click on it.
- To sort your messages by columns (such as sorting alphabetically by sender or sorting by date), click on the column heading.

Note: Clicking on the column heading will toggle back and forth between ascending or descending. |

Viewing more columns |
You can see more information about your messages (e.g., status, size, flags, etc.) by viewing more columns. |
|
- To open another column, click on the button that appears to the right of your last visible column.

- This will bring up a list; click on the heading for which you want to create a column.

You can also see more information about your folders (e.g., size, unread messages, etc.) by viewing more columns. |
|
- Click on Tools, then click on Options.
|

2. From the top menu, click on Advanced.
3. Type a 9 and place a check next to Wait seconds before marking item as read.
4. Click on Show expanded columns in the folder pane.
5. Click on A New Message Window. |

6. Click on the button that appears to the right of the folder column. |
