- Start Thunderbird.

- Click on Tools, then click on Import....

- This will bring up the Import window.

- Click on Address Books (a black dot should appear beside it), then click on the Next button.

- Click on Text file, then click on the Next button.
|

- Beside Look in:, click on the down arrow, then click on the location of your address book file. (In this example the file is located on the Desktop.)
- Once you have located the file, click on its name to highlight it, then click on the Open button.

- When prompted, click on the Finish button. The address book you imported will now appear in your list of available address books.
