How to Use Thunderbird 3: Importing Your Address Book
- In Thunderbird, click on the Address Book button.

The Address Book window is displayed.
- In the Address Book window,
select Import from the Tools menu.

The Import wizard is displayed.
- In the first Import wizard window,
select Address Books as the type of material to import, and then click on the Next button.

- In the next Import wizard window, select Text file as the type of file to import, and then click on the Next button.

- In the next window, perform the following:
- Navigate to where your address book file is located.
- Select the address book file to import.
- Select LDIF from the drop-down list located to the right of the address book file name.
- Click on the Open button.

If your address book was imported successfully, you'll see the following window:

- Click on the Finish button. You'll see your address book listed in the Address Book window, as shown in the example below. (In the example, the address book "workcontacts" has been imported successfully.)
