How to use Thunderbird with GUMail: New Features in Thunderbird 2.0

  • E-mail Tags
    An improved feature that can be utilized to organize e-mails.

  • Quota Meter
    If you have reached 75% of your quota on the server, a meter will appear to remind you that it is time to clean your e-mail folders.

  • Mail Notification Window
    With version 2.0, mail notification alerts now display the subject of the message, sender, and a preview of the body of the message.

  • Session History Navigation
    This brand new feature allows a user to navigate back and forth through their message history.

  • Adding a Signature
    You can now add signatures at the end of your e-mail.

  • Junk Mail Folders
    You can now add signatures at the end of your e-mail.

  • Using the Directory and Address autocompletion
    Address autocompletion while composing mail makes it easier to quickly address messages without having to remember the e-mail address of recipients.
