How to Use Microsoft Outlook 2007: Changing Your Startup Folder

This procedure will enable you to change the folder that displays when you open Outlook 2007.

 

  1. In Outlook 2007, select Options from the Tools menu.





  2. In the Options window, click on the Other tab.





  3. In the General section of the Other tab, click on the Advanced Options button.






  4. In the Advanced Options window, click on the Browse button.





  5. In the Select Folder window, choose the folder you want as your startup folder and then click OK. (In the example below, the Drafts folder is selected.)





    The folder you selected will be listed next to Startup in this folder at the top of the Advanced Options window, as shown in the example below.





  6. Click OK in the Advanced Options window.
  7. Click OK in the Options window.


The folder you selected will now be displayed the next time you open Outlook 2007.
