Using the spellchecker manually |

- Open a compose window and type your message.
- Click on the Spell button at the top of the window.

- If Mozilla finds any words that aren't in its dictionary, it
will open a Check Spelling window.
You will have several options:
- Replace the word with one of Mozilla's suggestions (if it has any),
- Manually type in a replacement,
- Ignore the possible misspelling,
- or Add the word to Mozilla's dictionary.

Setting the spellchecker to run automatically |
You can set Mozilla to automatically spellcheck every message you
send out. |

- Click on Edit, then click on Preferences....
|
 |
|
|
|
- This will bring up the Preferences window.
- Click on Composition (in the left-hand side of the
window).
- Under Composing Messages, click on Check spelling
before sending (a checkmark should appear beside it).
- Click on the OK button.
