HOW TO USE MOZILLA WITH GUMAIL: SHARING FOLDERS

Folder sharing is a powerful feature that lets you give other GUMail users access to one or more of the folders stored in your GUMail account.

  1. Start Mozilla Mail.

  1. Right-click on the folder you want to share, then click on Properties....
  1. This will bring up the Properties window.
  1. Click on the Sharing tab. Then click on the Privileges button.
  1. This will bring up a Username and Password window. Type in your University NetID and password, then click on the OK button.

Note: You should not let the password manager remember these values.

  1. This will bring up the Set Permissions window.
  1. Click in the empty field below Add User and type the NetID of the person to whom you want to grant folder access.
  1. Then click on the Add button.

Note: If you don't know the person's NetID, you can use the Search... button to look it up.

  1. Now scroll down to the bottom of the window.
  1. You will see your NetID, and the NetID that you typed in the Add User field. Next to each person's NetID, you will see a box containing their level of access to your folder.

  1. Click on the down arrow next to the permission box for the NetID of the person you want to share your folder with.

  1. Click on the access level you wish to grant.

  1. Verify that the access level you granted appears in the permission box. If you would like to grant access to additional users, repeat steps 8 through 11 above. When you have finished, click on the OK button.
