Folder sharing is a powerful feature that lets you give other GUMail users access to one or more of the folders stored in your GUMail account. |
-
Start Mozilla Mail. |
- Right-click on the folder you want to share, then click on
Properties....
 | |
- This will bring up the Properties window.
- Click on the Sharing tab. Then click on the Privileges button.
 | |
- This will bring up a Username and Password window. Type in your University NetID and password, then click on the OK button.
Note: You should not let the password manager remember these values. |
- This will bring up the Set Permissions window.
- Click in the empty field below Add User and type the NetID of the person to whom you want to grant folder access.
- Then click on the Add button.
Note: If you don't know the person's NetID, you can use the Search... button to look it up. |
 | |
- Now scroll down to the bottom of the window.
-
You will see your NetID, and the NetID that you typed in the Add User field. Next to each person's NetID, you will see a box containing their level of access to your folder.
-
Click on the down arrow next to the permission box for the NetID of the person you want to share your folder with.
-
Click on the
access level you wish to grant. |
 | |
-
Verify that the access level you granted appears in the permission box. If you would like to grant access to additional users, repeat steps 8 through 11 above. When you have finished, click on the OK button.
