WORKING OFFLINE IN MOZILLA: DOWNLOADING INDIVIDUAL E-MAIL FILES

If you selected any folders for offline use, all the messages in those folders will download automatically. You can also download individual files from a folder you haven't selected for offline use. This is very useful if you want to work with a few files in a large folder, but you don't want to download everything in the folder.

Let's say I want to always automatically download all the files in my Inbox, so I set this up following the instructions in Working Offline: Setting Preferences. But, just for today, I also want to download two messages from a folder called Important mail. I do this following the instructions below.

  1. Start Mozilla Mail.
  1. Click on the files you want to use offline (they must all be in the same folder). Note: You can select more than one by holding down Ctrl key while clicking.
  1. Click on File, then click on Offline. This will bring up a sub-menu. Click on Get Selected Messages.

You've now made your files available offline, see Going Offline.
