HOW TO USE MOZILLA WITH GUMAIL: ADDING THE GEORGETOWN LDAP DIRECTORY

  1. Start Mozilla's Mail Program.
  1. Click on Edit, then Click on Preferences.
  1. This will bring up the Preferences panel.

  1. Click on Addressing in the left-hand column.
  1. Make sure checkmarks appear beside Local Address Books and Directory Server.
  1. Click on the Edit Directories button.
  1. This will open the LDAP Directory Servers window. Click on the Add button.
  1. This will bring up the Directory Server Properties window.
  1. Beside Name:, Type Georgetown Directory.
  1. Beside Hostname:, Type directory.georgetown.edu
  1. Beside Base DN, Type dc=georgetown,dc=edu
  1. Click on the Advanced tab.
  1. Beside Don't return more than, Type 300.
  1. Click on the OK button.
  1. Georgetown Directory will now show up in your list of servers. Click on the OK button, then Close your Preferences window.
  1. Mozilla is now set to look people up in the Georgetown directory.
