HOW TO USE MOZILLA WITH GUMAIL

Thunderbird is a desktop client for use with GUMail.  Desktop clients are set up to work with only one computer and allow you to check your email from that computer.  They have more formatting options than web-based email and allow you to store your email locally, or on your computer’s hard drive.  Thunderbird works on Windows and Mac machines.  At Georgetown, most PC users use Thunderbird for email; about half of Mac users use Thunderbird, with the other half using MacMail.
